 Rules

  • This tournament is open to members of the Windsor Essex Kent County Bowling Association Only. Non members who live in the WEKCBA Area may participate by purchasing an unattached ABC membership card for $16.00 US Funds ($25.00 Cdn)
  • ENTRIES CLOSE Feb. 24th, 2002, 5 minutes prior to last squad. Entry Fee must accompany application.
  • RE-ENTRY: Teams will be allowed to bowl more than once as long as they change 2 bowlers each time they re-enter, Doubles and singles: Enter twice only. (Must change doubles partner on reentry)
  • All ABC rules will govern this event.
  • AVERAGES: Bowlers will use their highest 2000 - 2001 ABC sanctioned year book average (ABC or WIBC Average). If the bowler(s) do not have an average for 2000 - 2001 then they will use their highest 2000 - 2001 average as of 21 games at the time of bowling. All others to enter at 220.
  • The Ten pin rules will apply as of Feb. 9th, 2002.
  • The tournament committee will have the right to re-rate any entrant prior to bowling.
  • HANDICAP: The handicap will be 90% of the difference between the team average and 1100, Doubles: Dbls Team Average and 440, and Singles from 220.
  • It shall be each bowlers’ responsibility to verify the accuracy of their average whether is submitted by themselves, team captain or others. Failure to use the proper average may disqualify score if the averages submitted is lower that the actual average. Bowler(s) may prior to completion of the series, ask the tournament director for a written 48 hour extension to verify their average. All prize winnings will be based on the average submitted.
  • ABC Rules #319 a,b,c,d, and e, will be enforced and it is the bowlers responsibility to abide by these rules.
  • Any bowler who misses one or more frames by not being present will receive Zero (0) for the frames missed.
  • All prize money will be returned 100% to the bowlers. Prize ratio: 1 in 10. Prize list based on number of entries.
  • Tournament committee has the right to move bowlers to another pair of lanes in case of mechanical or computer scorer breakdown.
  • All disputes not covered in the ABC rules will be decide by the tournament committee. Their ruling shall be final unless an appeal is made to the ABC within the time limits govern by such.
