Marital Status: Married
with 2 wonderful kids.
Years of Bowling: 22 years
Occupation: Design Engineer at Essex Engine Plant (FoMoCo)
I started Bowling: again to participate in the Ford League
over 20 years ago after a lengthy layoff
from having Bowled (and set pins) as a junior.
Early role models: Earl Anthony for just plain getting the
job done with minimal effort.
Current Projects: The design, development, implementation
and maintenance of
www.CanBowl.com as well as this web site.
Most memorable bowling moment: Sparing the 1-2-4-10 "washout"
in the first game of my 806 series. It didn't seem all that important
at the time because I try to spare everything anyway. Now
when I look back, this is what stands out the most for me.
Most forgettable bowling moment: The first time I seen myself
Bowl on Video tape. This was a shock to say the least. It was not
what I expected.
What I like best about bowling: The interesting blend of
skill and luck that the game has. No matter how good you are, you
have to have both elements to succeed. Also the many friendships I
have attained through bowling over the years.
Bowling goals: To obtain more honour scores and to be recognized
for all my achievements while only bowling
predominately once a week.
One thing nobody knows about me: It's still a secret. |

My advice to aspiring bowlers: Strive to be as
good as you can be in everything that you do. Getting better at
anything takes work so don't expect things to happen by themselves
or to be quick. If your not ready to work harder for
what you want then be satisfied with what you have. Above all enjoy
the game and make sure you're sanctioned.
If I could change one thing about bowling it would be: The
IMAGE of the game/sport. It bothers me deeply to see the lack of
respect this sport has attained when compared to other comparable
sports.
Favourite movie: StarWars (I'm a special
effects nut)
Favourite "pig-out" food: I don't have any.
The one thing that everyone has tried except me: Drugs
and Alcohol. Ok, Ok, so it is two things.
The one word that describes me best: Determined.
Favourite hobbies: Chess, Computers, Bowling, and Computers.
I also like Computers. :o)
Pet peeves: People that are all talk and no action. They
say they will but don't. These people are often
unreliable and usually good at providing "lip service". |
