ABC MEMBER SINCE 1977

Captain of team in Wednesday Night League since 1980 under several sponsorships (now Tilbury Chrysler)

Secretary Monday Night League and Wednesday Night League at J&D Lanes, Tilbury 1978-present. (ABC-WEKCBA)

Awards Secretary/Statistician – Saturday Junior League at J&D Lanes (YABA-ECJBA) 1988-present

Secretary – Sunday Night Mixed League 1996-97 (ABC-WIBC)

Has written a weekly bowling column for the Tilbury Times since 1980.

In 1985 played a leading role in obtaining ABC permission for Tilbury bowlers to separate from the Chatham Bowling Association and to be sanctioned through the Windsor-Essex County Bowling Association. This was accomplished by demonstrating that more of the bowlers at J&D Lanes had more ties of work and residence in Essex County than in Kent County and that the Tilbury area bowlers were not being adequately served by the Chatham Bowling Association. (For example, sanctions arrived 6-8 months late, there were no Association tournaments and no annual yearbook) ABC concurred and this necessitated redefinition of WECBA’s boundaries to include the town of Tilbury. Subsequently American Bowling Congress informally investigated, then terminated the Chatham Bowling Association in lieu of a formal investigation of many other questionable and fraudulent practices. As a result the Windsor-Essex Kent Bowling Association emerged to represent all the ABC members in Windsor-Essex and Kent County (now Chatham-Kent)
